The "Signal to Noise" books were inspired by tape music of the 60s and 70s. They use an iterative process of minimization and repetition to explore the boundaries of recognizability. An iconic picture - the signal - is transformed into a hazy, non-semantic texture: the visual equivalent of noise. Traces remain.

Signal to Noise I+II, 40 pages, was printed in an edition of 100. It was part of the 2017 New York Art Book Fair at MoMA PS1. Currently available at Printed Matter, Inc., 231 11th Avenue, NYC 10001.
